Leslie A. Hannan Lorber
Leslie A. Hannan Lorber, 43, of Marengo and formerly of Eldora, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, from natural causes while under hospice care at her home.
The funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Eldora, with Father Rick Dagit officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery in Eldora. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora with a prayer service at 6 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for her children.
Mrs. Lorber was born August 16, 1957 in Leominster, Mass., the daughter of Larry E. and Marian Stewart Kadolph. She was raised in Eldora and graduated from Eldora High School in 1975. She then attended Iowa Western College in Council Bluffs and also Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo, becoming a certified dental hygienist. She married Michael Kelly Hannan on Oct. 18, 1980, and lived in Council Bluffs for about seven years before moving to Wellsburg, where she married Gregory Charles Lorber on July 3, 1993. They lived in Marengo where she worked in Iowa City as a dental hygienist for Towncrest Dental. She was a member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Marengo and formerly of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Eldora.
Survivors include her husband Greg Lorber; her children Chad and Morgan Hannan and Charley Ann and Mason Lorber; her mother, Marian Stewart of Iowa Falls; her father and step-mother, Larry and Grace Kadolph of Eldora; her former husband, Michael Kelly Hannan of Council Bluffs; her sisters, Becky and Dale Lueck of Mequon, Wisc., Monica and Scott Beenken of Steamboat Rock, and Joni and Mike Welch of Hubbard; her brothers, Tom and Sheila Kadolph of Aurora, Colo., and Jon Kadolph of Maxwell; stepbrothers Dean Armfeld of Kenosha, Wisc. and Daniel Armfeld of Gifford; and by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Lisa Marie Kadolph, and paternal grandparents Albert and Lela Kadolph.
