Lester David Yoder

FRYTOWN - Lester David Yoder, 90, of Frytown died Monday, April 23, 2007 in the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City from complications from a fall.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 28 in the Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church in rural Kalona with the Rev. Don Patterson and the Rev. Dick Swartzendruber officiating. Burial will be in Lower Deer Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday in the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the Pleasantview Home and Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church.

      Mr. Yoder was born May 4, 1916 in Iowa City, the son of Jonas and Amelia (Yoder) Yoder. He married Pauline Miller on July 6, 1941 in Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church.
