Lester Lee Decker September 29, 1911 - July 15, 2003

      Lester Lee Decker, 91, Kalona, died on Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at his home following a legnthy illness.

      Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2003 at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona. Rev. Don Patterson will officiate. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. today at the funeral home where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for Iowa City Hospice.       Survivors include his wife of Kalona; three children, Elaine Boshart and her husband Robert of Kalona; Kenneth Decker and wife Meredith of Lees Summit, Mo.; Janice Ray of Des Moines; seven grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mabel Cook of New Albany, Ind.; Elta Green of Paducah, Ky.

       He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister Jewell Hayse.
