Lester N. McGohan

Lester Nelson McGohan, 98, of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, June 30, 2008, at Park Place Long Term Care Unit.

Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Herb Shafer officiating. A private burial will be held prior to the service.

Born March 6, 1910 in Henry County, Les was the son of Charles and Eva Dodds McGohan. He was a 1927 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. On Feb. 26, 1939, he married Gladys Lucile Gillaspey in Kahoka, Mo. She survives.
