Lester Rex Gipple
WINFIELD - Lester Rex Gipple, 92, of Columbus Junction, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at Washington County Hospital, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, at Spring Run United Methodist Church in rural Columbus Junction, with the Rev. Thomas Connors officiating. Friends may call after noon on Friday at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial has been established for Spring Run United Methodist Church.
Mr. Gipple was born on July 17, 1912, in Louisa County, to George Nathan and Edna Mary (Berkshire) Gipple. On Aug. 23, 1933, he married Margaret Irene Holmes.
