KALONA ? Levi M. Miller, 90, of Kalona, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, in the Pleasantview Home in Kalona.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Sharon Bethel Church in rural Kalona. Burial will be in the Sharon Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday at the church. A memorial fund has been established for Iowa City Hospice, Sharon Bethel Church and Pleasantview Home. The Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Miller was born March 8, 1926, in Kokomo, Indiana, the son of Menno and Susan (Schlabach) Miller. He married Clara Miller on Feb. 20, 1949, in Kalona.
He and his wife lived and farmed in the Kalona community. He was a member of the Sharon Bethel Church, and he started Christian Aid Ministries and served as the director for eight years. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are four children, James Miller and wife Melody of Kalona, Phil Miller of Kalona, Nathan Miller and wife Cheri of Kalona, and Emma Stutzman and husband Phil of Montrose, Colorado; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Mose Miller of Buffalo, Missouri; and one sister, Sara Miller of Kalona.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Clara, in June 2016; one sister, Elva Miller; and two brothers, Ivan, and David Miller.
