Lewis Dysart Savage

      The Rev. Lewis Dysart Savage, 93, of Mount Pleasant, died Monday, March 10, 2008, at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mount Pleasant.

      A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Salem Friends Church in Salem, with the Rev. Stephen Savage officiating. Burial will be in Salem East Cemetery.

      Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, where the family will be present from 6-7:30 p.m.

      Memorials have been established to Salem Friends Church and Lewelling House.

      The Rev. Savage was born Jan. 7, 1915, on the family farm near Salem, the son of David L. and Mae Dysart Savage. He married Esther L. Stanley May 26, 1936, in Indianola. She died July 13, 2001.
