Lewis Hugh Newell
COLUMBUS JUNCTION-Lewis Hugh Newell, 90, of Columbus Junction, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction, with the Rev. Ralph Draper officiating. Burial will be in Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home. A general memorial has been established.
Mr. Newell was born on July 8, 1913, in rural Columbus Junction, to Hugh R. and Sarah M. (Shellabarger) Newell. He married Mary Evelyn West on July 11, 1933, in Illinois.
