Lewis M. Fenton May 10, 1916 - February 8, 2004

Lewis Marion Fenton, 87, of Washington, died on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at the United Presbyterian Home following a lengthy illness.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Military honors will be conducted at the cemetery. Burial will follow. Visitation will begin at noon today at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to the Washington County Hospice.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Bill Fenton of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Jackie and her husband Ned Shepard of Bettendorf, and Elaine and her husband Michael D. Moore of Washington; and five grandchildren, two step grandchildren and one step great-granddaughter.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, O. Fredrick Fenton; and two sisters, Virginia Meinsen and Fyrne Sanders.
