Lillian Elizabeth Ashby

      Lillian Elizabeth Ashby, 90, of Washington, died Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Washington County Hospital, following declining health.

      Celebration of Life services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Dennis Fox officiating. Visitation will begin at noon on Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8, Tuesday evening. Interment will take place in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. A general memorial has been established.

      Mrs. Ashby was born Aug. 29, 1914, near Webster, to William Lloyd and Alice Amelia (Thompson) Kephart. On July 15, 1932, she married Gordon Shelman in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1954. In November of 1959, she married Charles E. Ashby in Washington. He preceded her in death in 1979.
