Lillian Thornburg

Lillian Thornburg, 83, of Salem, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9 at Salem Congregational Church in Salem, with the Rev. Harold Dorsey officiating. Burial will be in Blakeway Cemetery near Lake Geode. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established for New Sweden Lutheran Church in Lockridge.

Survivors include three sons, Gary Hendricks of Golden, Colo., Dwight Hendricks of Hillsboro, and Larry Hendricks of Salem; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Harlen Aronson of Bettendorf; and two sisters, Fern Martin of Fairfield, and Evelyn Whiting of Salem.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
