Linda Angela Feehan, 61, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
Linda was born July 28, 1960, in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Gerald and
Janice (Farnsworth) Snyder. She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1979. On September 15, 1979, Linda was united in marriage to John H. Feehan at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Mount Pleasant. They lived in Arkansas for four years and Nevada for four years, before returning to Mount Pleasant to be closer to family. Linda went back to school and graduated from Southeastern Community College in 1991 and Iowa Wesleyan University in 1993. Linda worked for Henry County Community Services as a social worker for 16 years. She was a member of the Wellspring Evangelical Free Church where she worked as the secretary. Faith and family were very important to Linda. She enjoyed attending bible studies and making jewelry.
Linda is survived by her husband, John of Mount Pleasant; two sons, JJ Feehan of Mount Pleasant and Josh (Cassie) Feehan of Keokuk; two grandchildren, Teagan and Maeve Feehan; three brothers, Gerald (Becky and Moe) Snyder Jr. of Sun City, AZ, William Snyder of Mount Pleasant and Jim (Chris) Snyder of Mount Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jorene Wood.
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the Wellspring Evangelical Free Church in Mount Pleasant. Pastor Tye Male will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2021, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant, where the family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A general memorial fund has been established. The service will be livestreamed on Powell Funeral Homes Facebook page and at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
