Linda Fitzgerald, 69, of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020, at Parkview Care Center. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at Behner Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at Fairfield Friends Church with Pastor Len Maselli officiating. Burial will be at

a later date.

A memorial has been established in Linda's name with cards and memorials mailed to Donna Smith, 704 S. Eighth St. Circle, Fairfield, IA 52556.

Linda was born April 8, 1950, to Raymond and Pauline (Pope) Coffin. She married Jerry Alan Fitzgerald on July 22, 1967, in Birmingham.

Linda was faithful reading her Bible and as long as her health allowed attending Fairfield Friends Church. She looked forward to car trips she and Jerry would take. Linda knitted, crocheted and collected writing pens. Most important to her was spending time with her family and grandkids. She and Jerry would attend her grandkids school activities.

Linda will be missed by her husband of 52 years, Jerry Fitzgerald; four children, Brenda (Rob) Evans of Fairfield, Shirley (Marty) Rainbolt of Batavia and Donna (Curtis) Smith and Patsy Peiffer, both of Fairfield; eight grandchildren, William, Dawna and Jerry Evans, Cheyenne Rainbolt, Zachary and Madelyn Smith, and Samantha and Andrew Peiffer; and four siblings, Jack Jacobs of Cedar Rapids, Francis Coffin of Birmingham and Jim Coffin and Danny Coffin, both of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Pauline Coffin; two brothers, Garry and Howard Coffin; and son-in-law, Anthony Peiffer.
