Linda Jeanne Hagans, 74, of Brighton, died January 6, 2022, at Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield. She was born July 28, 1947, in Washington, IA, to Arthur David and Catherine Ann Hesseltine Harris. She grew up in the Brighton area, attended Brighton Schools and graduated from Washington High School in 1965. Linda married Richard Hagans in Burlington October 24, 1966. He died October 24, 2021. She worked at McCleery-Cummings Co. in Washington for 40 years. Following retirement, she worked part time at Keeley's tap and Ritchie's Roost and Commanders in Brighton. She had also worked for DeJohn's Auto part time.

Linda is survived by her children, Deanna Filson (Gary) of Stockport, Rick Hagans (Marcy) of Washington, Robert Hagans (Debbie) and David Hagans (Kim), both of Brighton; grandchildren, Casey, Shanen, Brandi, Joni, Melinda, Amber, Danielle, Garrett, Cordell, Jordan and Justin; several great-grandchildren and siblings, Archie Harris (Twilla) of Bettendorf, Darlene Stewart of Phoenix, AZ and Cathy Thu (Greg) of New London.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry "Rooster" Hagans; and siblings, Sonny, Howard, Roy, Butch (Carl), Ed, Ila and Wilma.

Visitation with the family will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date. General memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 107 W. Railroad Street, Brighton, IA 52540. Gould Funeral Home of Brighton is assisting the family.
