Linda Kay Johnston, 71, passed away on February 10, 2022. She was born on March 2, 1950, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa to Beryl and Refa Barney and graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1968.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Dave Johnston, one brother, Byron Barney (Ruth), two sisters, Shirley Blom, and Bonnie Barney (Chris), three children, Jeff Johnston (Megan) of Eagle River, Alaska, Jennifer Johnston of Santa Monica, California, and Bonnie Sharae Johnston of Hot Springs Village, and two grandchildren, Jade and Max Johnston.

Linda was a loving and caring soul, who enjoyed being with family and friends, and will be greatly missed by many.

A memorial service was held on February 17 at the Village United Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village, AR.

A burial service will be held at the East Salem Cemetery in Salem Iowa at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022.
