Lisle 'Doc' Lewis Luithly

      COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Lisle "Doc" Lewis Luithly, 83, of Columbus Junction, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, at his home.

      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, at United Methodist Church in Columbus Junction with the Rev. Cathy Whitlatch officiating. Burial will be at Columbus City Cemetery with military rites accorded. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction. Memorials may be directed to Columbus Junction Senior Center, Columbus Junction United Methodist Church or Hospice of Washington County.

      Mr. Luithly was born on May 18, 1921, in Richland, to William Edward and Laura L. (Horning) Luithly. On July 2, 1952, he married Jeanette Eileen Thornton in Morning Sun.
