Lloyd Harper Downey
Lloyd Harper Downey, 93, of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at his home.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant. Burial with full military rites by VFW Post #2561, American Legion Post #58 and AMVETS Post #44 will follow at the Burge Cemetery in New London. Visitation will begin at noon on Wednesday, at the chapel, with family present from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Memorials have been established to Crossroads Hospice of Southeast Iowa and the Paralyzed Veterans' Association.
