Lloyd John Troyer
KALONA - Lloyd John Troyer, 89, of Kalona, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, in the Pleasantview Home in Kalona following a brief illness.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. today in the Wellman Mennonite Church in Wellman with the Rev. Marvin Hostetler and the Rev. Ron Kennel officiating. Burial was in Wellman Mennonite Cemetery. Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona was in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Kalona First Responders and Iowa City Hospice.
Mr. Troyer was born June 12, 1918, in Shickley, Neb., the son of Lloyd and Emma (Kennel) Troyer. He married Erma Stutzman on May 18, 1941 in the Wellman Mennonite Church.
