Lloyd Leonard Krotz

      RIVERSIDE - Lloyd Leonard Krotz, 85, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, May 28, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, following a brief illness.

      A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside, with the Rev. Rich Adam officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery in rural Riverside. Following the committal services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Visitation will be this afternoon, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Sorden-Lewis funeral home in Riverside, with a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. prayer service. A general memorial has been established.

      Mr. Krotz was born on Nov. 19, 1919, in rural Washington County, to William and Geneva (Klein) Krotz. He married Constance Rose Deatsch on May 1, 1941, in Riverside.
