Lois L. Bell, 91, of Mount Pleasant, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant.

Lois was born June 22, 1930, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Dorthea (Southwick) Piper. Lois worked as a cook and baker at Buff's Truckstop and at Arbor Court. She was known for making delicious pies and cakes. Lois enjoyed the time she spent in the kitchen and making crafts. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Lois is survived by her son, Terry (Linda) Austin of Vesper, Wis.; four stepchildren; 14 grandchildren; 27 stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; five great-step-grandchildren; and two nieces.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sharon Heater; grandson, Travis; great-granddaughter, Tracy; three brothers and two sisters.

According to Lois' wishes, her body has been cremated and a graveside service will be held at a later date. Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel is caring for Lois and her family.
