Lola Mae Bower, 95, of 601 E. Polk St., Washington died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, at the Washington Care Center.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Larry Brown officiating. Burial will be in North Hill Cemetery in Wayland. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at the Jones Eden Funeral Home with family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening. Memorial contributions can be made to the North Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Bower was born Jan. 3, 1905, in Wayland, the daughter of David and Naomi Kinney Rich. She married Lyle Bower on Aug. 27, 1932, in Kahoka, Mo. She resided in Washington since 1963. She attended the Marion Ave. Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary McCormick of Santa Barbara, Calif., Virginia Lindsey of Columbus, Ga., and Patricia Davison of Washington; a son, Jimmie L. Bower of Columbus Junction; two sisters, Minnie Peterson and Ada Kindig, both of Mt. Pleasant; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers; and four sisters.
