Lona V. Long, 101, formerly of Salem, died on Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at the Park Place Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.
The funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Tom Palmer officiating. Burial was in the Salem East Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Salem Friends Church.
