Lonnie G. Evans
Lonnie G. Evans, 53, of Sigourney, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at University Hospitals in Iowa City, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at the Sigourney United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Vince Homan officiating. Burial of ashes will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Martinsburg. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Delta Methodist Church.
