Loriene Elizabeth Spanier

      PACKWOOD - Loriene Elizabeth Spanier, 83, formerly of Packwood, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006 in the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8 in the Packwood Christian Church with the Rev. Harlan Van Voorst officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Center Cemetery in Packwood. Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Gould Funeral Home in Richland where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Packwood Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.

      Mrs. Spanier was born April 18, 1923 near Stockport, the daughter of David N. and Anna M. (Snowbarger) Cox. She married Everett Spanier on May 18, 1941 in Le Grand. He died Jan. 5, 2003.
