Louise B. Martin August 7, 1924 - December 5, 2003

Louise B. Martin, 79, of Morning Sun, died on Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at Morning Sun Care Center. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Presbyterian Church in Morning Sun, with the Rev. Mel Miller officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Her body has been cremated according to her wishes. Memorials have been established for Morning Sun Care Center and Great River Hospice.

      Survivors include two sons, Bernard John Martin and James Martin, both of Mt. Pleasant; four daughters, Patricia Dunn of Mt. Pleasant, Linda Messer of Washington, Yvonne Kerr of Morning Sun, and Gloria Wagaman of Livonia, Mich.; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ernest Boecker of Danville; and two sisters, Mary Harris of Nebraska, and Edith Haller of Kentucky.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a son.
