Louise Engel

    Louise Engel, 87, of Washington, died Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, in the Washington County Hospital in Washington after a lengthy illness.

    Celebration of life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Washington Mennonite Church in Washington with the Rev. Diane Zaerr Brenneman and the Rev. Grant Nebel officiating.  Burial will be at the Grace Hill Moravian Cemetery in rural Washington County.  Visitation began at noon today at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.  Memorials have been established for Gideons International or the Alzheimer?s Association.

    Mrs. Engel was born Aug. 7, 1922, in Clay, the daughter of Max and Maude (Woodford) Waterhouse.  She married Eugene Engel on Oct. 26, 1947, at the Grace Hill Moravian Church.
