Lowell Delbert Burden
Lowell Delbert Burden, 74, of rural Mt. Pleasant, died on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
The funeral Mass was at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with the Rev. Nick Adam officiating. Visitation began after 11:00 a.m., on Sunday, September 23, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, with a Christian vigil service at 6:00 p.m. that evening and the family present after the vigil service until 8:00 p.m. Burial was in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Memorials have been established to Midwest Old Threshers, the American Cancer Society, and St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
