Lucille Davison Watson

Lucille Davison Watson, 92, of Washington, formerly of Cedar Rapids and Severna Park, Md., died, Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, at United Presbyterian Home in Washington of natural causes.

      Services will be held at a later date at the Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, Ill. Beatty Funeral Home of Washington is assisting with arrangements. Memorials in the name of Lucille Watson may be designated to the University of Iowa Alumni Association.

      Mrs. Watson was born June 21, 1913 in Washington County, the daughter of William Roy and Eva (Wagner) Davison. She graduated from Washington High School and taught school in a one-room schoolhouse for three years before attending the University of Iowa School of Nursing. She was employed in the nursing field for about six years and in 1936, was united in marriage to Sherman Watson. They lived in Cedar Rapids and raised their family there.
