Lucille K. Statler

    Lucille K. Statler, 92, of Washington, died Monday, March 1, 2010, in the United Presbyterian Home in Washington following a brief decline in health.

    Celebration of life services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Darryl Carr officiating.  Burial will be at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.  Visitation will begin at noon Friday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.  Memorials have been established to the United Presbyterian Home and the Washington Public Library.

    Mrs. Statler was born April 28, 1917, at the Washington County Hospital in Washington, to John and Minnie (Westerman) Kurtz.  She married Clarence Statler in Kahoka, Mo.  The couple later divorced.
