Lucille Lavern Kucera

      RIVERSIDE - Lucille Lavern Kucera, 85, of Riverside, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a lengthy illness.

      A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside, with the Rev. Ed Omelia officiating. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery in Lone Tree. Visitation will be held at Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Riverside on Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside.

      Mrs. Kucera was born on Feb. 22, 1919, in Johnson County, to George and Bessie (Thomas) Aubrecht. On Nov. 28, 1940, she married Edward Kucera in Lone Tree.
