Luke A. Wallace

    MOUNT PLEASANT ? Luke Aaron Wallace, 6, of Lee?s Summit, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at the Kansas City Children?s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., from cancer.

    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at the Wayland Mennonite Church in Wayland with the Rev. Pam Unruh officiating.  Burial will be in the Eicher Cemetery.  Memorials have been established to the Children?s Tumor Foundation, Missouri Chapter.  The Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant is in charge of the local arrangements.

    Luke was born Nov. 6, 2003, in Olathe, Kan. He attended Pleasant Lea Elementary School in Mrs. Falkenberry?s kindergarten class, which was an especially proud time in his life.  He had a great love for life and others.  His favorite things included stars, Dora, Thomas the Train, Percy, crayons, markers and especially the color green.  He loved his sister, Abbey, who could always make him smile and laugh. He was known to have a magnetic personality and gentle spirit that drew people together and fostered enduring friendships.
