Luke D. Weber

      Luke D. Weber, 81, of Washington, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at Halcyon House, following a lengthy illness.

      A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington with the Rev. Ed O'Melia and the Rev. Dennis Martin officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, with military rites accorded. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington. Visitation will continue from 6 to 8:30 Thursday evening at St. James Catholic Church, with the family receiving friends at that time. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at St. James Catholic Church, followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary. Memorials may be directed to St. James Catholic Church or Hospice of Washington County.

      Mr. Weber was born on May 2, 1923, in Clear Creek Township, near Harper, to John and Caecilia M. (Peiffer) Weber. On June 1, 1948, he married Dorothy J. Greiner in Keota.
