Lyle V. Smith
SIGOURNEY - Lyle Vernon Smith, 78, of Sigourney, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at the Reynolds-Powell Funeral Chapel in Sigourney, with the Rev. Vince Homan officiating. Burial with military rites by the American Legion Post No. 19 and the Lacy Kerr VFW Post No. 2308 will be in Pennington Cemetery in rural Sigourney. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.
