Lyle W. Martin
COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Lyle W. Martin, 99, of Columbus Junction, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, in Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, in the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services with the Rev. Ron Whitlatch of the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Grove Community Church.
Mr. Martin was born July 13, 1908, in Kildare, Okla., the son of Hugh and Alta (Wiley) Martin. He married Norma E. Murphy on Sept. 1, 1938, in Iola, Kan.
