Mabel Clementine Helscher

      KEOTA - Mabel Clementine Helscher, 93, of Keota, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, in the Maplewood Manor in Keota from complications of age.

      Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, in Holy Trinity Parish-St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota with the Rev. Marty Goetz officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemeteries-St. Mary Cemeteries. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the Powell Funeral home in Keota, where there will be a rosary at 4 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.

      Mrs. Helscher was born July 3, 1914, in Des Moines County, the daughter of Joseph and Clementine (Panther) Eibes. She married LeVernon Helscher on June 25, 1946, in St. Patrick's Church in Burlington.
