Mabel M. Gerig

Mabel M. Gerig, 97, of Goshen, Ind., formerly of Wayland, died Thursday, March 3, 2005, at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen.

      A funeral service has been set for 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2005, at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church. Burial will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery. Family visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church. Memorials may be directed to the Mennonite Mission Network. Beatty Funeral Home of Wayland is assisting with local arrangements.

Survivors include her daughters, Marianna Roth and her husband Edwin of Carlsbad, Calif. And Elaine Schrock and her husband Dan of Goshen, Ind., three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Paul, Ray and C.C. and a sister, Effie Wittrig.
