Mabel Van Winkle
Mabel Van Winkle, 90, of Wayland, died Thursday, July 10, 2008, in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday, July 14, in Wayland Cemetery in Wayland. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will be in Wayland Cemetery. A general memorial fund has been established.
Mrs. Van Winkle was born Dec. 18, 1917, in Henry County, the daughter of George and Mary (Armstrong) Netterfield. She married Waldo Van Winkle on Oct. 5, 1942.
