Mabel White April 18, 1906 - February 9, 2004

Mabel T. White, 97, of Story City, formerly of Ames, died on Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, of heart failure at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

      The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14 at Bethany Manor in Story City and at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 16 at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis. Burial will be in the Shinar Cumberland Cemetery in Sperry. Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. Memorials have been established for Bethany Manor and Northminster Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Lewis of Ames and Linda Lindert of Davis, Calif.; and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.
