Madelyn S. Carr

      Madelyn S. Carr, 83, of Cantril, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2007, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

      A service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron and the Rev. Paul Rekward officiating. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery in Douds.

      Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where family will be present from 7-8 p.m.

      Memorials to Cantril United Methodist Church or Cantril Public Library may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 28940 215th St., Bloomfield 52537.

      Mrs. Carr was born Jan. 23, 1924, near Douds, the daughter of Edwin and Weltha Roush Elsensohn. She married Murl R. Carr Nov. 8, 1942, in Memphis, Mo. He died April 9, 2005.
