Magdalen C. Meade January 12, 1913 - October 20, 2005

      Magdalen C. Meade, 92, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Riverside, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005, at Arbor Court in Mt. Pleasant.

      The funeral Mass was at 10 a.m. today at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Nicholas J. Adam as celebrant. Burial was in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Camp Courageous.

      Survivors include four sons, Daniel of Burlington, Richard of North Liberty, Maurice of Mediapolis, and Leo of Hobbs, N.M.; three daughters, Mary Mundt of West Bend, Wisc., Teresa Meade of Delmar, N.Y., and Martha Meade of San Francisco; two sisters, Mary Hurt of Iowa City and Teresa Schmirer of Everett, Wash.; and 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, a grandson, six brothers and a sister.
