Mahlon H. Hewitt

      Mahlon H. Hewitt, 77, of Fairfield, died at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

      A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Keevin Koch officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

      Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

      Mr. Hewitt was born Sept. 8, 1929, the son of Clement D. and Lena Hunter Hewitt. He married Charlotte Turner in June 1952 in Weston, Mo.
