Mahlon Joseph Gingerich

      RIVERSIDE - Mahlon Joseph Gingerich, 71, of Riverside, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, northwest of Brighton after a sudden illness.

      Celebration of Life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, in the Kalona Mennonite Church in Kalona with the Rev. David Boshart and the Rev. Larry Rediger officiating. Burial will be in the Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Kalona. A memorial fund has been established.

      Mr. Gingerich was born Sept. 8, 1936, in Johnson County, the son of Linus and Mary (Chupp) Gingerich. He married Sarah Jane Swartzendruber on Aug. 17, 1959 in the Sharon Evangelical Church in Sharon Center.
