Majel 'Madge' Mitchel

      IOWA CITY - Majel "Madge" Mitchell, 74, of Iowa City, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a severe stroke.

      Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, in the St. mark United Methodist Church in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Memorials may be made to the St. Mark United Methodist Church or Chapter FG T.T.T.

      Mrs. Mitchell was born Aug. 8, 1934 in Washington, the daughter of Milo and Irene (Holmes) Arthur. She married Bill Mitchell on June 26, 1955.
