Malcolm Whitfield Brodie, age 94, of Washington, Iowa, formerly of Akron, Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Halcyon House in Washington, Iowa.

Celebration of life services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Rexwinkle Funeral Home in Akron, Iowa, where the family will be present to receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment with military honors will be held at the Plymouth Presbyterian Cemetery in rural Plymouth County. In lieu of flowers, a general memorial has been established. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Brodie of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Kathlyn Jones of Big Arm, Montana; daughter, Karen Andrew of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Kim (Kelley Marcantel) Brodie of Boerne, Texas; six grandchildren: Rebecca Walseth, Jon Saienga, Emilee Jones, Ellyn Hildebrand, Robert Andrew, and Zach Marcantel; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousisns.
