MARC L. TIPPING SR.
Fairfield
Marc L. Tipping Sr., 71, of Fairfield, passed away Sept. 24, 2020, at his home.
Marc was born in Wilmington, Del., on June 22, 1949, to William Edward and Ruth Elizabeth (Madison) Tipping Jr. He lived in San Diego, Calif., Chino Valley, Ariz., and then Sarasota, Fla., for many years, until moving to Fairfield in 2019.
Marc received his BA from the University of Delaware. While in high school, he was a trap drummer and his love for music continued throughout his life. Marc was very artistic and this was demonstrated through his beautiful ceramic works, his wonderful paintings, his painstaking work in the remodeling of his Fairfield home and the beautiful landscaping he added around his home.
Marc practiced Transcendental Meditation ever since his brother Bill taught him in 1975, and Marc combined that with daily prayer and scripture reading. He is now with his beloved Lord Jesus Christ whose unconditional love will wash away the pain of this world.
While Marc lived in Florida, he took excellent care of his parents and because of his big loving heart he made their last stage of life as comfortable as possible. He also volunteered to take their friends in the retirement community to their appointments. After his parents passed, he continued to help their friends not only with appointments, but also by doing errands, grocery shopping and even making meals for them.
Marc will be missed by his son, Marc L. Tipping Jr. of Utah; two grandchildren, Evan Jace Tipping and Julian Thomas Tipping; his siblings, Bill (Susi) Tipping of Fairfield, Gayle (Vance) Tipping and Betsy (Paul) Tipping; his nephews, Jake Tipping and Jonathan Tipping; Aunt Pat Tipping; and many cousins and friends in Florida and across the USA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruth; his youngest brother, Gregory (Greg) A. Tipping; and his nephew, Nathaniel (Nathan) E. Tipping.
There will be a private celebration of life at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made to the "David Lynch Foundation" (especially for their work with at risk people such as PTSD veterans), or the "Fairfield Muse" (non-profit support for concerts at Café Paradiso; checks to Fairfield Muse can be sent to 101 N. Main St.), or the "Fairfield Art Association" (located in the Convention Center), or "The Lord's Cupboard of Jefferson County."
