Marcia E. Carr

      Marcia Elizabeth Carr, 53, of rural Keosauqua, died at 7:10 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2006, at Jefferson County Hospital, in Fairfield, after a long illness with multiple sclerosis.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with Pastor Larry Wagner officiating. Cremation will follow the service. At her request, the casket will remain closed.

      Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

      Memorials to her grandchildren's education may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 23524 245th St., Keosauqua, IA 52565.

      Born Dec. 29, 1952, in Ft. Madison, she was the daughter of Carl and Norreene McCracken Schmitt. She married Melvin L. Carr June 25, 1971, at Sharon Presbyterian Church north of Farmington.
