Marcia Lynn Watkins

      KALONA - Marcia Lynn Watkins, 45, of Kalona, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, in the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City following a long illness.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1 in the Kalona Mennonite Church in Kalona with the Rev. Mick Murray officiating. Burial will be in the Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona where the family will greet friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Girl Scouts.

      Mrs. Watkins was born April 8, 1962, in Washington, the daughter of Melvin and Veva (Miller) Herschberger. She married John Watkins. The couple later divorced.
