Margaret M. Carrick September 23, 1942 - March 13, 2004

Margaret Mary Carrick, 61, of Mt. Pleasant, died on Saturday, March 13, 2004, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

      The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17 at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Fr. Nick Adam celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Tuesday, March 16 at the Beatty Funeral Home, with family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. that evening. Memorials have been established to the American Cancer Society and to the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church youth activities.

Survivors include her husband; her father of Mt. Pleasant; two sons, Chauncey Carrick of Sycamore, Ill., and Benjamin and his wife Mary Carrick of Omaha, Neb.; a daughter, Emily Carrick of Fort Madison; three brothers, John A. Cash of Mt. Pleasant, William H. and his wife Judy Cash of Mt. Pleasant, and Dan J. and his wife Marge Cash of Los Alamos, N.M.; and a sister, Georgia and her husband Dwayne Mathews of Danville.

      She was preceded in death by her mother on Jan. 6, 2004, and her mother-in-law, Charlotte E. Lucas.
