Margaret R. Bucklin

Margaret R. Bucklin, 79, of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at her home following a lengthy illness.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11 at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel with the Rev..Bill Porter officiating. Burial will be in the Norwich Cemetery in Martelle. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10 at the chapel. There will be no family visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Courageous or to the Great River Hospice.

Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Lynda and her husband David Toomer of Parnell, Paula Stroud and Krista Jones, both of Cedar Rapids, and Valee Hatcher of Gardnerville, Nev.; and four step-children, David and his wife Julie Bucklin of Solon, Jack and his wife Julie Bucklin of Jefferson, Ann Bucklin of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mary Bucklin of Cincinnati, Ohio.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Richard Lynn Murfield; and a step-son, Robert Jones.
