MARGIE M. LADEHOFF

Aitkin, Minn.

Margie M. Ladehoff, 92, Aitkin, Minn., passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2020, at Aitkin Health Services. She was born on Aug. 3, 1927, in Washington, Iowa, to Maudi (Gould) and James Boyd, where she grew up with brother Jim and sister Janice. After she graduated from Washington High School, she worked at the Calendar Factory then at McClellan's Five and Dime Store, where she met Wayne S. Ladehoff. Wayne and Margie married, Feb. 27, 1949, in Wapello, Iowa. They moved from Iowa to Kimberly, Minn., where they farmed until moving into Aitkin. Later after raising her family she worked at Aicota Nursing Home. She loved the Lord and His presence in her life. She loved her family and friends as well as gardening, raising flowers, crocheting and walking.

Margie is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne (December 1995); infant son, Steven; brother, James Boyd Jr.; son-in-law, Mike Host; granddaughter, Michelle Host; and brothers-in-law, Gene Mitchell and Glen "Babe" Ladehoff.

Margie is survived by son, Gary Ladehoff (Ginny Lee) of Aitkin, Minn.; daughter, Cindy (Jeff) Ledin of Merrifield, Minn.; grandchildren, Shannon (Michelle) Ladehoff of Cameron, Wis., Joshua (Bridgett) Ladehoff of Aitkin, Minn., Jason (Rhonda) Conner of Aitkin, Minn., Warren Annear of Aitkin, Minn., and Aaron Conner of Anoka, Minn.; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Mitchell of Morristown, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Phyllis Ladehoff of Washington, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Internment will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Iowa.
